My bio

Hello! I’m Rhonda Cobb, a licensed massage therapist at UF Health Rehab Center – Medical Plaza. I have a unique background that blends over 20 years of experience as a registered nurse with a deep passion for health, wellness and holistic care. I graduated from the Florida School of Massage in 2019 and have dedicated my career to supporting individuals on their journey toward better health and well-being.

One of my proudest accomplishments was taking time off to raise my four children during their early years. Once they were all in elementary school, I began my exciting new career path in massage therapy. My nursing experience spans several specialties, including ICU, hospice, home health care, orthopedics, pediatrics and oncology. This diverse background has significantly shaped my approach to massage therapy. It has reinforced my belief in addressing the whole person and offering personalized care in a one-on-one setting.

Nutrition, health and wellness have always been central to my life and continue to guide the goals I set each day. I am committed to empowering my clients with the knowledge and tools to prioritize their health. I believe body awareness is key to achieving overall well-being, as understanding how our bodies function and how to care for them is crucial for leading a healthy and balanced life. In today’s fast-paced world, many people rarely experience true relaxation. However, rest is not only essential; it is restorative and healing.

As a licensed massage therapist, I offer help with pain relief, improved mobility and relaxation. Whether you’re dealing with acute or chronic pain, recovering from an injury or seeking relief from the physical toll of occupational and lifestyle habits, I’m here to help. Some of my training includes sports massage, neuromuscular therapy, connective tissue therapy, lymphatic massage, hot stone therapy, aromatherapy and more. I combine these modalities to tailor treatments to each client’s unique needs and goals.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I are busy with our four teenage children’s many sports and activities — our beautiful daughter and three amazing sons. We fish, hunt, play football and basketball, and participate in travel baseball year-round. Keeping up with them are some of the reasons I chose this career path. Massage therapy helps me, too!

I truly believe in the healing power of massage therapy, and I’m dedicated to supporting my clients in achieving their health and wellness objectives. I look forward to being a part of your journey!
