About me

My name is Richa Wardhan, MD, and I am an associate professor in the Department of Anesthesiology. I joined the department as an assistant professor in the Division of Acute & Perioperative Pain Medicine in 2016. I earned my Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at Gandhi Medical College in Bhopal M.P., India, and a Medical Degree at PT. Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Medical College in Raipur, India. I completed an internship in internal medicine at Griffin Hospital in Derby, Connecticut, an anesthesiology residency at Yale University School of Medicine, and a fellowship in regional anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Prior to coming to the University of Florida, I was an assistant professor and fellowship director of regional anesthesia at Yale University, where I developed and implemented both clinical and educational components at Yale and the Saint Raphael Campuses of the Yale Department of Anesthesiology Regional Subdivision. I’m a member of the American Board of Anesthesiology and the International Anesthesia Research Society. I’m also a Fellow of the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
