My bio

Dr. Romeena Lee was born in Miami, Florida, and attended Boston University for her undergraduate degree. After her time at Boston University she attended the University of Massachusetts, completing her Master’s degree in Public Health with a focus on Public Health Practice and Nutritional Epidemiology. She worked at Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Health Care for the Homeless prior to graduating from medical school at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She completed her Residency in Family Medicine from the Federally Qualified Health Center, Community Health of South Florida and Jackson South Hospital. She practiced as a Primary Care Physician serving the underserved population in Miami, Florida, with a special interest in infectious disease, nutrition and nutritional epidemiology. She completed her Obesity Medicine Fellowship at the University of Florida in the Department of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine Faculty at the University of Florida, where practices primary care, has created the curriculum for Lifestyle Medicine Discovery Pathway for the medical students, has presented at the national level on Obesity Medicine and continues to be involved in research and publications for topics related to Obesity Medicine.
