Roynny Sanchez Gil, MD

Hello, my name is Roynny J. Sanchez Gil, and I earned my medical degree from Universidad Centroccidental “Lisandro Alvarado” in Venezuela in 2005 and completed General Surgery and Trauma Surgery training at Universidad Central de Venezuela’s University Hospital “Dr. Domingo Luciani.” In 2015, I received the equivalent of a U.S. Doctor of Medicine degree through Josef Silny & Associates, Inc., and am certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). I hold licenses from the Florida and Texas Boards of Medicine, and I did my General Surgery resident at NOVA Northeastern University, Larkin Community Hospital.

I have published scientific articles, including a case report on Robotic Sigmoidoscopy in Cureus, and co-authored books on laparoscopic surgery. I have been recognized with honors such as the Recognition of Excellence in Trajectory from Universidad Rafael Belloso Chacin in 2020 and the Eureka Health Innovation Award in 2015. and I served as Administrative Chief Resident in General Surgery at Larkin Community Hospital for 2024-2025.

My clinical experience includes be General Surgery Resident at Larkin Community Hospital, Endocrine Surgery Internship at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center, and House Physician at Memorial West Hospital, and lectured on health management and laparoscopic surgery at Universidad Rafael Belloso Chacin URBE.

I am a member of the American Association of Endocrine Surgery, the American Medical Association, and the Panamerican Trauma Society. I have presented at international symposia, including the World Symposium on Health Sciences in Bolivia, and have trained physicians in laparoscopic surgery across various institutions in Venezuela and Unites States.
