My bio
As an interventional spine specialist at University of Florida Health, I am committed to helping patients regain their quality of life and return to the activities that matter most to them. Many patients with spine conditions want to spend time with family, stay active and enjoy everyday life without being limited by pain. My goal is to provide the least invasive treatment possible while achieving meaningful and lasting relief. I achieve this through my expertise ranging from injections to ultra-minimally invasive spine surgery.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies in biology and medicine at the University of Florida through the Junior Honors Medical Program (combined BS-MD program). I received my medical degree from the UF College of Medicine in 2019.
I completed anesthesiology residency training at UF, where I served as chief resident. Then, I finished a multidisciplinary pain medicine fellowship at the University of Florida with an interventional spine subspecialty track. After going through fellowship training, I worked as an interventional pain and spine physician before an additional 12-month fellowship in endoscopic spine surgery at the University of Florida.
My clinical interests include minimally invasive and endoscopic spine surgery, as well as interventional pain management. I aim to provide the right treatment for the right patient, whether that means conservative care, interventional pain management, endoscopic spine surgery or referral for more extensive surgery. In my role, I define success as helping patients restore function, return to the activities they enjoy, and achieve meaningful improvement while minimizing procedural risk and unnecessary intervention.
I am actively involved in clinical research focused on advancing minimally invasive and endoscopic spine surgery. My work has included studies evaluating awake ambulatory spine surgery, comparing epidural anesthesia with general anesthesia for endoscopic lumbar decompression, and investigating strategies to improve patient recovery, safety and same-day discharge outcomes. I have presented research at national and international spine meetings, sharing findings on anesthesia optimization, enhanced recovery pathways and innovative endoscopic techniques. My ongoing academic interests include expanding the role of minimally invasive spine procedures.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy playing basketball, volleyball and skiing, as well as spending time with my family.
