About me
During my eighth grade summer, my life forever changed. As I helplessly watched my aunt collapse, my next door neighbor, a doctor, saved her life by delicately handling the situation. The episode was imprinted in my memory and guided me to help those around me today. I am an assistant professor of medicine in University of Florida Division of Nephrology, Hypertension and Renal Transplantation, and I aim to provide patient-centered care while practicing evidence-based medicine. I have been practicing for over a decade and specialize in acute kidney disease and kidney stones. At UF Health Shands Hospital, I manage an acute kidney disease clinic.
I received my medical training in Kerala, India, at the University of Calicut. My first fellowship was completed at Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (MRCP) at Kettering General Hospital NHS Trust in the United Kingdom. Thereafter, I completed my internal medicine residency at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. My other fellowship was completed at New York University Division of Nephrology and Hypertension.
I am board certified in internal medicine and nephrology. In 2021, I was certified by the American Society of Hypertension as a hypertension specialist.
When not practicing at UF Health Nephrology - Shands Hospital, I enjoy spending time with my children. I also enjoy exercising my cooking skills by trying international cuisines and traveling.
