About me
I pursued a career in occupational therapy because I wanted to make a meaningful difference in the lives of my patients and help them return to the hobbies, activities and daily routines that bring them purpose and joy. As a specialist in upper extremity rehabilitation and pediatric care, I am passionate about bridging the gap between advanced clinical intervention and meaningful patient outcomes.
My clinical experience includes orthopaedic trauma, custom orthotic fabrication, burn rehabilitation and the treatment of brachial plexus injuries. I am committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care that empowers both children and adults to achieve their highest level of function and independence. Whether I am working with a child developing new skills or an adult recovering from injury, my goal is to help each patient return to the occupations and activities that define their lives.
My research explores the intersection of creative expression, accessibility and human well-being. Specifically, I investigate the therapeutic role of theater in managing generalized anxiety disorder, alongside the broader impact of the arts in fostering social interaction among school-aged children. Extending this focus on inclusivity into the physical realm, my work also explores universal design within the beauty industry, focusing on engineering accessible tools for individuals with upper extremity limitations.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, crocheting and reading.
