About me
I chose to pursue pediatric physical therapy because it combines my love of working with children with my appreciation for movement as medicine. As a vinyasa and aerial yoga instructor during my undergraduate studies, I enjoyed watching participants achieve their goals through movement and wanted to bring that same approach to working with children.
As a pediatric physical therapist with UF Health, I work with children and families to achieve functional goals through play-based therapy. My favorite part of my job is celebrating small wins with families and watching children reach milestones they once thought were not possible. I strive to be a safe and supportive space for the children I work with so they feel comfortable challenging themselves, building strength and trying new things.
I often collaborate with other disciplines to provide a holistic approach to therapy. I especially enjoy working with children from birth to 3 years old through Early Intervention. With older children, I enjoy incorporating weightlifting to improve strength, decrease pain and build confidence.
Outside of work, I enjoy thrifting, weightlifting, yoga, crafting and spending time with my family and my pup, Saige.
