My bio

My name is Svetlana Chembrovich, MD, and I joined the Department of Anesthesiology in 2019 as an assistant professor in the Division of Acute Pain & Perioperative Medicine. I earned my medical degree from the Belarussian State Medical University in Minsk, Belarus. I completed a residency in internal medicine at Greater Baltimore Medical Center and a residency in anesthesiology and critical care at the University of New Mexico. I then completed a fellowship in Regional Anesthesia and Acute Perioperative Pain Medicine here at the University of Florida.

I am a member of several anesthesiology organizations and have made several contributions to peer-reviewed publications, abstracts, and presentations. My research interests include peripheral nerve blocks, acute compartment syndrome, and using simulations for teaching. Outside of work, I enjoy figure skating, hiking, gardening and learning the art of bonsai.
