About me
Hi, my name is Timothy R. Moore, MD, and I am an assistant professor in the University of Florida Department of Psychiatry. As a psychiatrist, I am passionate about readily available treatment, such as electroconvulsive therapy, or ECT, and am dedicated to understanding human behavior.
I earned my medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed my residency in general psychiatry at Tufts Medical Center, where I was honored as chief resident. I furthered my expertise with a mini-fellowship in electroconvulsive therapy at Emory University School of Medicine.
My goal as a physician is to improve the accessibility of treatments like ECT, especially in an era where misinformation can easily spread. I am currently exploring research on severe mood disorders and developing standardized treatment metrics.
In my spare time, I enjoy restoring antiques. Recently, I have acquired skills in welding cast iron, which has enhanced my ability to repair Victorian pieces.
