My bio
My name is Tina Nigam, MD, and I am a vascular neurologist at the UF Health Neurosurgery –Neurosciences Center at Halifax Health. I am a board-certified physician with advanced training in vascular neurology.
I completed a vascular neurology fellowship at the University of Michigan and my medical school at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, where I was honored with the Gold Humanism Award in recognition of my commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
One of the most rewarding parts of my work is partnering with patients to help them understand their diagnosis, treatment options and recovery plan. I believe education is a vital part of care, and it is especially meaningful to see patients progress and thrive during follow-up visits.
Teaching and mentorship are also important aspects of my practice. I work with medical students from Florida State University and the University of Florida, receiving a teaching award during residency for my dedication to medical education.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, playing all sports and trying new restaurants. I value balancing an active lifestyle with great food and discovering new experiences.
