Viet T B Nguyen, PT, DPT

My name is Viet Nguyen, and I'm a physical therapist at UF Health. I earned my bachelor's degree in applied anatomy, physiology and kinesiology from the University of Florida, followed by a doctorate in physical therapy from Florida Southern College. After passing the National Physical Therapy Examination, I dove into the field, specializing in orthopedic services for all joints, with a focus on post-operative treatment for total hip, knee and shoulder surgeries.

During my student years, I had the privilege of interning at Magnolia Parke, learning from exceptional therapists. Now, as a therapist at Magnolia, I'm grateful to pass on those lessons to future generations of therapists.

Growing up, I found joy in coaching and teaching, alongside my love for staying active and playing sports. This led me to pursue a career in physical therapy, where I could merge my interests and provide personalized care to my patients. My primary goal with patients is to alleviate their symptoms and pain, while my secondary goal is to empower them with a deeper understanding of their exercise regimen. I find immense fulfillment in educating and coaching my patients, making each day at work meaningful.

To me, physical therapy is more than just exercises; it's about connecting with patients, understanding their values, and creating a space where they can focus on their health and begin the healing process.

Outside of work, I enjoy snowboarding, hiking and traveling. Exploring new places isn't complete without indulging in local cuisine—it's a must-do for me. My family is my rock, their unwavering love and support shaping me into the clinician I am today, and I strive to pay that forward to my patients each day.
