“ This was my first visit. I LOVED Dr. Akhiyat. I recently got health insurance so I have started the journey to attend to a myriad of medical issues. I haven't been to a doctor in years. I have a lot going on. Dr Akhiyat listened intently as I went on and on about 20 different problems and symptoms I have been dealing with for years. She said we need to tackle one thing at a time and decided on what the biggest issue is and said once we get these symptoms diagnosed and treated, that may resolve some other issues. Then we can go to the next thing, and continue in this manner until everything has been addressed. She scheduled me with a specialist at another UF facility and is having them call me. It's so nice to have someone actually listen to me, HEAR me, see the problems and not downplay them, and treat me like a hypochondriac because there's so much going on. I feel she genuinely cares about my well-being. I left there feeling confident that I will be well taken care of. ”
