My bio
My name is Yeisi Gainza, and I am a physical therapist assistant at UF Health Ocala Neighborhood Hospital. I earned my Associate of Science in Physical Therapist Assisting from Carrington College and my Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapist Assisting from PIMA Medical Institute. My specialties include manual therapy, orthopedics, joint replacements, sports rehabilitation and muscle weakness.
I have always been drawn to the medical field, and after one semester of business administration, I knew it wasn’t my calling. Once I took my first physical therapy classes, I immediately knew this was the right path for me. I love seeing people push past their limits, achieve new goals and improve their overall well-being. The educational aspect of medicine fascinates me, as it is constantly evolving, and I enjoy learning new techniques to help my patients.
My goal is to help people achieve their best physical health so they can enjoy doing what they love without pain. I value building strong connections with my patients, and I love hearing their personal life stories.
Originally from Cuba, I moved to Florida in July 2024 from Albuquerque, NM, and I’m loving everything Florida has to offer. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, exploring new places—including food spots, travel destinations, and local shops—reading and spending quality time with my husband, two kids and two dogs. I am fluent in English and Spanish.
