About me
I am a board-certified electrophysiologist and assistant professor at the University of Florida Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. I have an interest in atrial and ventricular arrhythmias with a particular passion for managing patients with atrial fibrillation and premature ventricular complexes (PVCs). I have completed extensive research in cardiovascular outcomes and patient safety, along with my numerous scientific publications and abstracts in health care quality, pharmacodynamics of antiplatelet agents, and geographic and racial differences in strokes.
My training began at Stanford University, where I completed my Bachelor of Arts in human biology. Thereafter, I received my Master of Public Health from Dartmouth Medical School. I completed medical school at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota, followed by an internal medicine residency at the University of Vermont. Later, I was selected as the chief fellow during my cardiovascular disease fellowship at the University of Miami, where I devoted my time to research and fellow education. I also completed a clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at Harvard University.
In addition to seeing patients, I am passionate about teaching the next generation of doctors and fellows, as well as volunteering my time on medical mission trips. I have spent time in Malawi, India, Mexico and the Dominican Republic. In my spare time, I enjoy cycling, creative writing and spending time with my family.
