TitleNew Interventions Against Human Norovirus: Progress, Opportunities, and Challenges

Presented byJianrong Li, DVM, PhDResearch Scientist and Assistant ProfessorVirology and Environmental MicrobiologyOhio State University

His research lab focuses on both applied - interaction of foodborne viruses with fresh produce and novel vaccines against non-cultivatable foodborne viruses - and basic sciences in virology including paramyxovirus replication and gene expression. Dr. Li's research aims to study virus-food interactions and develop strategies to prevent or eliminate viral contamination in food in light of the difficulty of poorly or non-cultivatable viruses.
