Injuries are the leading cause of preventable deaths in children. In fact, according to the CDC, trauma, or injuries are the leading cause of ALL deaths in children under 14 years of age. Understanding the common ways children get hurt can help us learn how to prevent them. Implementing proven prevention strategies significantly reduces injuries, complications and deaths from pediatric trauma.
