REGENERATIVE MEDICINE: A POTENTIAL GAME CHANGER.
Regenerative medicine can be summarized in two words — self-healing. Instead of treating the symptoms of disease, trauma or illness, regenerative medicine can use stem cells to repair damaged tissue or organs, helping patients avoid surgery or long-term medications. Some of these cells repair the broken machinery of our bodies while others work to produce biological agents that rescue and repair diseased organs. Listen to how this process is taking shape at the UF Center for Regenerative Medicine.

SMART HEALTH IS HEART SMART.
Many of us have benefited from recent advances in medicine and technology. Smartphones and smartwatches can mean patients have easy access to health information and things like medication reminders and health trackers. Physicians can see trends in heart rhythm and blood pressure and better understand a patient’s daily routine. There are new medicines in the fight against heart disease and more attention on women’s heart health. Technology has also introduced minimally invasive procedures to treat heart attacks and aortic valve stenosis and has improved the quality of life for people with heart failure. Discover how technology can be used to improve your health.
