Peripheral vascular disease, or PVD, is caused by the buildup of fatty substances that stick to the walls of the arteries. This is not limited to just the heart; it can affect arteries in the legs, arms, brain and kidneys, causing them to narrow, which limits blood flow vital for survival. People with PVD are at an increased risk of heart attack, stroke, TIA and amputation. Learn the risk factors and symptoms for PVD at this seminar.
Dr. Ashraf Absuara, UF Health Cardiology – Ocala Heath Brook, will discuss this PVD at this seminar.
