Do you know the signs of a stroke?
Every 40 seconds, someone in the U.S. has a stroke.
It could happen on your street, in your workplace, at a store where you shop — anywhere. Your readiness to spot stroke warning signs and call 911 could save a life or make the difference between a full recovery and a long-term disability. That’s why it’s so important to learn the warning signs of a stroke, because the faster a stroke is treated, the more likely you are to recover.
For World Stroke Day on Oct. 29th, University of Florida Health wants to educate the community on the F.A.S.T. warning signs and discuss ways to reduce your risk for a stroke. Every second counts in preventing brain damage.
Seating is limited and reservations are required. Please call 352.733.0000 if you have questions or need help registering.
