Description
Head and neck cancer is on the rise. Are you at risk?
Head and neck cancers occur in the mouth, nose, throat, larynx, sinuses and salivary glands. They are often caused by tobacco and alcohol use, as well as human papillomavirus, or HPV infection. Symptoms can include a persistent sore throat, a lump in the neck, difficulty swallowing and changes in voice. Treatment can affect some of the most vital human functions, such as speaking and swallowing, but therapy may help.
Each year, approximately 68,000 people in the United States will develop these cancers, which result in nearly 11,000 deaths. Early detection and treatment is the key for improving outcomes. Learn about preventing and treating these cancers at this seminar.
