Conference Description The 6th Annual Stroke Conference presented by UF Health Shands Hospital this year takes place on April 13th, 2019 at the Harrell Medical Education Building in Gainesville, FL. This CME program is designed to improve the knowledge, competence and performance of healthcare providers engaged in the care of patients with cerebrovascular diseases. The goal of the program is to reduce the gap between current evidence and existing practice in stroke care as well as review the most recent clinical trials that impact patient care algorithms and practices. This conference will focus on science, technology and practical applications in order to equip participants with the tools needed to deliver high quality, evidence-based, patient centered stroke care. Speakers include internationally recognized stroke experts offering specialized topics that cover stroke care across the continuum. Topics include Acute Care, Stroke in Unique Populations, Nursing and Physician dedicated tracks, late breaking stroke topics, and more! Target Audience This program is intended for adult neurologists, neurosurgeons, neurointerventionalists, neuroradiologists, interventional radiologists, emergency medicine specialists, primary care physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, rehabilitation specialists, physical, occupational and speech therapists, respiratory therapists, radiology technologists, case managers, social workers, pharmacists and researchers in the field of cerebrovascular function and disease.
