The University of Floridas inaugural International Aortic Symposium will consist of nine sessions and includes case presentations, expert speakers, and extended panel discussions with active audience participation on aortic pathology, diagnosis and treatment paradigms, connective tissue disorders, and artificial intelligence.

Target audience

This symposium is designed for cardiothoracic surgeons, vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, cardiologists, physician assistants, advanced practice registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals interested in aortic disease.

Learning objectives

At the conclusion of this conference, attendees should be able to:

  • Evaluate the treatment options for patients with aortic disease, based on current research presented at this conference.
  • Prepare an appropriate plan of care for patients with aortic disease, based on clinical presentation.
  • Describe the radiographic features of patients with aortic disease.

Physicians

Accreditation: The University of Florida College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit: The University of Florida College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 17.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Suwannee River Area Health Education Center, Inc. is a Florida Board of Nursing approved provider of continuing education. CE Broker Provider ID #50-1922. This program meets the requirements for up to 17.0 contact hours.

Nurse practitioners and physician assistants

Nurse practitioners may participate in this educational activity and earn a certificate of completion, as AANP accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credits through its reciprocity agreements. The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credits from organizations accredited by the ACCME.
