Chronic kidney disease, or CKD, is characterized by a gradual loss of kidney function and can be caused by diabetes or high blood pressure. As CKD progresses, it can lead to kidney failure, which requires dialysis or a transplant. Learn how to reduce your risk by managing your blood pressure and diabetes.
