Women’s Heart Health
Inside our bodies, a healthy heart looks almost the same. However, as a woman, your heart health is unique. Women’s hearts have slight anatomical differences that put them at risk for different heart-related issues.
Heart disease is the number one cause of death of women in the United States. It’s important to be aware of your risk factors and see a physician if you have any concerns. Our female-focused cardiologists are here to help you live your heart healthiest life possible.
For new moms and future moms, our UF Health Heart Care in Pregnancy Program (HCiPP) is dedicated to helping those with new or pre-existing heart conditions and guiding them through a healthy pregnancy.
Unique Female Risk Factors
If you’re concerned about any of your risk factors above, let our physicians help you get to the heart of the matter. Our physicians also work with women who already have cardiovascular disease and will help them create an individualized treatment plan, focused on them.
