Biography

Ian R. Driscoll, MD, FACS, is an associate professor and burn surgeon in the division of acute care surgery at the UF College of Medicine.

Dr. Driscoll is a board-certified surgeon with a subspecialty in surgical critical care. He earned his medical degree from the UF College of Medicine in 2006 and then completed a general surgery internship and residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He completed a year of research training at R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland Medical Center and then pursued a burn surgery fellowship at the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research, or USAISR, at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. In 2018, Dr. Driscoll completed a fellowship in surgical critical care at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.

His clinical interests include burns resuscitation and reconstruction, surgical critical care, renal replacement therapy, care in the austere environment and aero-medical evacuation.
