Joy Wang, DDS, MSD
Dr. Wang is a maxillofacial prosthodontist and oral oncologist. Originally from Rochester NY, she completed her D.D.S training at the University of Buffalo. She went on to complete a residency program in prosthodontics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston where she received a master’s degree. Her thesis focused on validating a digital method for determination of skin color for silicone elastomers used in maxillofacial prosthetics. Dr. Wang continued her education at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center with a fellowship in maxillofacial prosthetics and oral oncology.
Dr. Wang is a faculty member in the Division of Prosthodontics. She works closely with Robert Mann (anaplastologist), Oral Medicine, Oral Surgery, Shand’s/COM Otolaryngology and Radiology Oncology as she cares for patients in the Maxillofacial Clinic. She also practices traditional prosthodontics procedures one day a week in the faculty practice.
