How it's given
Keppra can be given by mouth as a tablet or liquid. It can also be given IV (directly into the blood stream).

Purpose
This medication is used to prevent and treat seizures.
Side effects
- Weakness
- Behavioral effects such as aggression, anger, anxiety, agitation, and depression.
- Dizziness
- Drowsiness
- Problems with coordination
- Headache
- Nasal congestion
- Decreased appetite
- Bruising or bleeding
- Infection
