When you call the UF Health Comprehensive Spine Center, you speak with a spine center intake representative. They will ask you a few brief questions to arrange either an expedited appointment with a spine center doctor, or a review of your medical records to see a particular specialist. Appointments with a spine center doctor can be as soon as next-day. Telehealth appointment options are also available for your convenience. We also have providers available weekly at our Ocala locations who offer interventional spine medicine.
We are dedicated to finding the right personalized solution for you, whether that is neurosurgery, orthopaedic surgery, pain management, neurology, or physical medicine and rehabilitation. Our multi-disciplinary team considers both surgical and non-surgical options to offer you a customized, personal treatment plan. We treat all conditions related to the spine, and offer a range of solutions from conservative to minimally invasive and complex spinal surgery.
In the webinar below, Dr. Dan Hoh and Dr. Juan Mora discuss how the comprehensive spine center can help treat your pain, both non-surgically and surgically.
Our multidisciplinary bone health clinic combines the expertise of our endocrinologists and neurosurgeons to offer a fast-track approach, helping to improve the bone health of patients with osteopenia and osteoporosis before and after surgery.
Endocrinologists are experts at identifying hormone imbalances that can lead to bone loss or weakness. They can help manage hormone imbalances, offer recommendations to prevent further bone loss or weakness, and identify any potential risks.
Our clinical experts provide specialized evaluations and treatment plans not readily available at other health care facilities, ensuring you are not only ready for spine surgery, but also have an easier recovery.
After meeting with one of our spine surgeons, our team can refer you to our endocrinologists if you are a suitable candidate for this program. This service is also offered via telemedicine.
Please ask us about our clinical trials and how we can help improve patient bone health before surgery.
As a part of our spine center, we work with a team of experts to help our patients recover as best as possible from surgery. This includes inpatient physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians who look at your body as a whole to determine what therapies are needed to help get you back to living a full life.
Our neurosurgeon and orthopedic surgeons perform thousands of successful spinal surgeries every year. Our medical and interventional spine experts provide non-invasive and minimally invasive treatment solutions to countless patients. Through this comprehensive spine approach, you can have hope of getting back to a better life.
