Your first appointment

Our team of pain management specialists will evaluate you to recommend a plan that works with your goals. This is a three-step process:

1. Understand history

You'll complete a patient questionnaire about your pain-related issues. Please provide as much detail as possible. If you have received care or imaging studies outside of UF Health, please bring all relevant pain medicine treatment records, X-ray or MRI studies, and their interpretations.

2. Provide recommendations

A physician may ask to perform a physical exam. They may also discuss your medical history in greater detail. From there, they will recommend pain management and pain relief options that fit your unique needs.

3. Begin pain treatment plan

Your care team includes specialty-trained physicians in anesthesiology and pain medicine, as well as advanced registered nurses and staff.
