The UF Health Orthopedic Surgical Center provides same-day outpatient surgical services.
UF Health staff members are committed to providing quality medical care in a fully equipped setting. Our experienced staff offers high-quality, patient-centered care with excellent physical and emotional support to our patients and families at every point of their stay — before, during and after surgery. Our goal is to offer you a safe, convenient, comfortable and less-costly alternative to the traditional stay.
This orthopaedic surgical center was designed around one simple idea: how to make surgery safer, easier, and more convenient for patients, surgeons, and care teams alike. Purpose-built for same-day orthopaedic procedures, the facility combines advanced technology with a thoughtful, patient-centered design—while maintaining the flexibility to grow as care models continue to evolve.
From the moment patients arrive, the experience is designed to feel calm and intuitive. Located just off Hull Road, the center offers easy access in a less congested setting than a traditional hospital campus, helping reduce stress on surgery day. A welcoming lobby filled with natural light, clear sightlines, and a seamless flow creates a sense of comfort and clarity for patients and their families, while covered drop-off areas make arrival and departure simple and convenient.
Inside, efficiency and patient comfort go hand in hand. The center features 11 pre-operative and 11 post-operative bays, supporting a smooth, streamlined process that allows many patients to return home the same day and recover in the comfort of their own space. Six state-of-the-art operating rooms—designed with flexibility in mind and infrastructure to expand—are equipped with advanced airflow systems and integrated high-definition technology to support precision, safety, and real-time collaboration.
Behind the scenes, a centrally located sterile core serves as the operational heart of the facility. Its design optimizes workflow, reduces unnecessary movement, and upholds the highest standards of infection control—helping ensure every procedure stays on track and every patient receives exceptional care.
