Michael S Borut, PT, DPT

Greetings! I am Michael Borut, PT, DPT, and I proudly serve as the site manager and a dedicated physical therapist at UF Health Rehab – Medical Plaza. With a deep-rooted passion for helping individuals regain their mobility and improve their quality of life, I have dedicated my career to the field of physical therapy.

My journey into this noble profession began when I faced my own share of injuries during my time as a multi-sport athlete, including rugby at the University of Florida. My personal experience as a patient at a local physical therapy clinic opened my eyes to the incredible impact physical therapists have on individuals' ability to return to their desired level of function. This revelation fueled my determination to pursue a career in physical therapy, and I have never looked back.

I earned my Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Florida in 2002, marking the beginning of my commitment to helping others on their path to recovery. Recognizing the ever-evolving nature of healthcare, I furthered my education by completing my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in 2008. This educational journey has equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide the highest level of care to my patients.

Beyond my professional life, I find immense joy in spending quality time with my wonderful wife, whom I met during my time in PT school. Together, we cherish the opportunity to support our children as they pursue their dreams, particularly in the realm of basketball. Our shared goal is to nurture them into not only exceptional athletes but also outstanding individuals, both on and off the court.

My clinical interests are rooted in joint replacement, spine care, and general orthopedic limitations. I am deeply committed to continually expanding my expertise in these areas to provide the best possible care to my patients. As a physical therapist and a leader, my ultimate mission is to facilitate the delivery of superior patient care at every stage of the recovery process.
