Rarey named to medical education position at UF’s College of Medicine
Kyle Rarey has been promoted to assistant dean for program evaluation and development for the University of Florida College of Medicine.
In his new role, Rarey -- a professor in the departments of anatomy and cell biology, and otolaryngology -- will evaluate all aspects of UF’s medical student education program. He will report to Dr. Robert Watson, the college’s senior associate dean for educational affairs.
Rarey, who joined the UF faculty in 1984, coordinated the college’s recent Liaison Committee on Medical Education accreditation process.
The Office of Program Evaluation and Development was established in April to continuously assess the College of Medicine’s curriculum and provide feedback, assist with faculty development, monitor accreditation standards and promote scholarship in education.
