UF College of Medicine associate dean appointed to national advisory committee
Dr. Robert T. Watson, senior associate dean for educational affairs at the University of Florida College of Medicine, recently was appointed to serve on the American Medical Association’s Graduate Medical Education Advisory Committee.
During his yearlong appointment, Watson will review proposed changes in standards for the accreditation of residency programs and make recommendations regarding policy positions related to graduate medical education.
Watson, who recently was named chair-elect for the Association of American Medical Colleges’ national Group on Educational Affairs, is the Jules B. Chapman professor in clinical care and humaneness. He also is a professor of neurology, neuroscience, and clinical and health psychology.
