UF psychologist wins alumni achievement award from University of Memphis
Jim Rodrigue, an associate professor in the department of clinical and health psychology at the University of Florida College of Health Professions, has received the University of Memphis Department of Psychology Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award for the 1999-2000 academic year.
Rodrigue received a $500 stipend and travel expenses to visit the university this past spring. He presented a talk on how his career has developed over the years and described his research interests, which focus primarily on the psychological and psychosocial factors related to solid organ and bone marrow transplantation.
Rodrigue, who has been on faculty at UF since 1989, is the lead psychologist for the UF/Shands Transplant Program. He earned his doctorate from the University of Memphis in 1989. The alumni achievement award is given annually to a graduate of the department who has gone on to an outstanding career in psychology; the winner is selected by faculty vote.
