Drew elected to national student organization

Anthea Drew, a third-year student at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, has been elected a regional trustee to the American Student Dental Association’s Board of Trustees.

Drew, president of the UF ASDA chapter, was elected at the national group’s 31st annual meeting. During the next year, she will serve as a trustee for Region 5 that comprises six dental schools.

As a trustee Drew will help keep open the communication lines between the dental schools and the organization’s central office in Chicago so that both groups can reach their goals. In addition, she will attend all national meetings.

ASDA, the student organization of the American Dental Association, protects and advances the rights, interests and welfare of students pursuing careers in dentistry. It represents more than 14,500 pre-doctoral members from the United States’ 55 dental schools with a unified voice and provides information, education, advocacy and services.
