Joint Florida universities cancer conference set
The University of Florida Shands Cancer Center, in conjunction with the state’s two other university-based cancer programs, will present a comprehensive, three-day symposium for cancer providers called “Cancer Breakthroughs: Emerging Trends in Multidisciplinary Care.”
The sixth-annual joint conference, also put on by the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and the University of South Florida H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute, will be held Jan. 31 in Orlando at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center.
The program, featuring more than 60 internationally recognized guest speakers and university faculty oncology experts, is designed to give all cancer-care providers a broad-based update on the latest advances in cancer research and treatment. Continuing medical education credits are available for physicians and nurses.
The meeting is sponsored by the USF College of Medicine.
