Two UF College of Medicine students appointed to American Medical Association student committees
Two University of Florida students have been appointed to serve on student committees of the American Medical Association through the current academic year.
Third-year College of Medicine students Joy Kunishige and Shelileah Ramsey were selected from a pool of applicants from across the country.
Kunishige will serve on the Legislative Awareness Committee, which produces informational reports and programs on legislative topics of interest to medical students. She will research and write about residency work hours and student loan debt. Ramsey was appointed to the Minority Issues Committee, which addresses issues of concern to minority medical students.
