UF faculty member honored as outstanding educator
The Association of Medical School Psychologists has named Ronald H. Rozensky, Ph.D., chairman of the University of Florida College of Health Professions’ department of clinical and health psychology, the 2001 Distinguished Educator.
Rozensky, who joined the UF faculty in 1998, has been a clinical psychology educator for 25 years. He is the founding editor of the Journal of Clinical Psychology in Medical Settings, now in its eighth year of publication.
“In his many leadership roles in psychology, Dr. Rozensky has consistently pushed the profession to evaluate how we train and assess psychologists,” said Robert G. Frank, Ph.D., a clinical and health psychologist and dean of the college. “His thinking on professional issues is widely regarded and highly influential.”
Rozensky received the award at the American Psychological Association’s recent annual convention in San Francisco.
The Distinguished Educator award is given each year to a psychologist who has made significant contributions to the education of medical and psychology students, residents and colleagues.
