Dr. Sleasman elected to prestigious society
University of Florida College of Medicine Professor John W. Sleasman, M.D., chief of the department of pediatrics’ division of immunology and infectious diseases, recently was elected to the American Pediatric Society.
Membership in the nation’s oldest pediatric academic society is granted to individuals who have distinguished themselves nationally and internationally for their contributions as teachers, investigators and scholars.
The society works to prevent illness and promote health in childhood, advance the study of children and diseases affecting them, and enhance pediatric education and research.
