Orthodontic resident awarded funding

University of Florida College of Dentistry second-year resident and Cincinnati native Kary Nekula, D.M.D., has been awarded research funds from the Southern Association of Orthodontists’ Scientific Affairs Committee.

Nekula plans to submit her project, titled “Effects of Preoperative Ibuprofen, Anxiety and Gender on Post Separator Placement Pain,” in the association’s research competition. If selected, she will present her findings at the SAO’s meeting in October.
