UF’s Seaberg tapped to head state emergency doctors group
University of Florida physician David C. Seaberg, M.D., has been appointed president of the Florida College of Emergency Physicians, the primary physician organization addressing emergency medical service issues in the state.
Seaberg, an associate professor and associate chairman of the College of Medicine’s department of emergency medicine, has been appointed to a 19-month term. Seaberg also is chief of emergency services at Shands at UF medical center.
The 1,000-member organization is heavily involved in legislative, policy and regulatory initiatives in the state relating to emergency services. The group promotes delivery of high-quality emergency care to the public through education and advocacy programs focused on the clinical, business, regulatory and professional aspects of emergency practice.
