UF professor receives professional honor from alma mater
Alice Holmes, Ph.D., an associate professor of communicative disorders at the University of Florida College of Health Professions, is the recipient of the Idaho State University Professional Achievement Award.
Professional Achievement Awards are given to alumni based on contributions to their profession; the social, political and/or economic well-being of the world around them; community and civic involvement; contributions to the university; and involvement as a student.
The director of the UF cochlear implant program, Holmes was named Clinician of the Year in 1999 by the Florida Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists. Holmes received her master’s degree in speech pathology and audiology from ISU in 1978.
