UF Shands Cancer Center director wins national leadership award
University of Florida Professor W. Stratford May Jr., M.D., Ph.D., has been selected to receive the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s 2003 National Leadership Award.
May is director of the UF Shands Cancer Center and chief of the division of hematology/oncology at UF’s College of Medicine. He will receive the award Nov. 8 at the society’s annual leadership conference in Cleveland.
The award honors past or present members of the society’s national board of trustees who by their leadership have advanced the organization’s overall mission and stature.
