University of Florida faculty member elected to Florida Nurses Association Board of Directors
University of Florida College of Nursing faculty member Andrea Gregg, D.S.N., R.N., has been elected to the Florida Nurses Association board of directors. Gregg, an associate professor, is director of the College of Nursing’s Jacksonville campus.
Gregg will be installed at the Florida Nurses Association’s fall convention and will serve a two-year term. She also will serve as the association’s delegate to the American Nursing Association convention next June. Board members are elected by association members statewide.
Gregg, who has practiced as a registered nurse for 35 years both in clinical and administrative roles, was appointed director of the college’s Jacksonville campus in 1995. Since her appointment, she has worked collaboratively to establish and maintain a graduate distance-learning program, enabling nurses to attend classes and complete courses in Jacksonville. Gregg also is a member of the board of directors for the Florida Center for Nursing, an organization aimed at addressing strategies to deal with the state’s critical nursing shortage.
