Veterinary dean elected secretary of national veterinary association

Dean Joseph DiPietro has been elected secretary of the American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges.

DiPietro was elected to a one-year term during the group’s annual summer meeting, held July 21 in Denver.

“Dr. DiPietro has been an active participant in the affairs of the AAVMC and has provided valuable guidance to association activities in the past,” said Lawrence Heider, the group’s executive director. “His election to the board is recognition by his peers for leadership in academic veterinary medicine. All our member institutions will benefit by his continued leadership in AAVMC affairs.”
