Ghivizzani receives Kappa Delta award
Steven Ghivizzani, Ph.D., an associate professor of orthopaedics and rehabilitation and of molecular genetics and microbiology, has received a Kappa Delta Award, one of the most prestigious honors in orthopaedic research.
Ghivizzani, a molecular orthopaedics researcher, and colleague Paul Robbins, Ph.D., of the University of Pittsburgh, received the Ann Doner Vaughan Award for their collaborative investigations of gene delivery approaches to the treatment of orthopaedic disorders. The award was presented at the Orthopaedic Research Society annual meeting Feb. 22 in Washington, D.C.
