Guelmann appointed chair of pediatric dentistry
Marcio Guelmann, D.D.S., an associate professor of pediatric dentistry, has been appointed chair of pediatric dentistry after an exemplary year serving as interim chair. As chair, Guelmann is charged with developing pediatric faculty through encouraging board certifications and fostering faculty academic and research collaborations, emphasizing interdisciplinary collaborations with Shands at UF, the College of Medicine and the Craniofacial Center. He will also work with faculty and the college’s Curriculum Committee to review and revise pediatric dentistry curriculum for the D.M.D. Program, and will facilitate the development of a combined pediatric dentistry certificate and public health master’s degree program.
