Parkinson’s forum slated at UF
A live webcast featuring the latest information on Parkinson's disease treatment will be featured from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at the University of Florida's McKnight Brain Institute.
Called "The Parkinson Connection: An Interactive Forum for the Parkinson Community," the webcast will originate from the University of Pennsylvania. Presentations will include tips for communicating with health-care providers and instruction for patients on exercise and voice techniques.
Locally, Dr. Hubert Fernandez, co-director of the UF Movement Disorders Center, will lead a question and answer session. People whose lives are touched by Parkinson's disease in the Gainesville area are invited to attend.
