CONRAD EMMERICH NAMED VICE PRESIDENT AT SHANDS


GAINESVILLE, Fla. (Nov. 4, 2008) - Conrad Emmerich has been named Shands HealthCare vice president of Supply Chain Services. Emmerich has served as interim director of the division since June 2007. In his new executive role, he oversees standardized, systemwide supply-chain policies and practices.

Emmerich will focus on developing cost-effective approaches to systemwide purchasing, distribution, materials information/technology management and property management. Supply Chain Services has approximately 200 employees.

Emmerich reports to Jodi Mansfield, Shands HealthCare executive vice president and chief operating officer.

“Conrad has proven himself to be a very accomplished and effective leader,” Mansfield said. “He offers many outstanding operations skills as well as the vision to help our healthcare system succeed in today’s challenging times.”

Emmerich has worked at Shands HealthCare since June 2005. He previously served as the division’s purchasing manager and corporate contract manager.

Emmerich has a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Florida Warrington College of Business. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from Northwestern University in Illinois.

“We are very pleased to promote Conrad to this executive role. We’re confident he will be an excellent addition to our leadership team,” Mansfield added.
